Meet Megan More!
The Charles Seller Foundation is thrilled to announce that our 2020 Beneficiary is Megan More of Kearny, NJ!
Megan is a 10 year old girl born in Kearny, NJ, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was diagnosed at the age of 8 on July 2nd, 2018. From that moment on, she spent the entire first week in the hospital. While at the hospital, Megan had a port place and received numerous transfusions and different medicines. Her doctors quickly discovered her allergy to a specific type of chemotherapy, one she was required to take. This discovery now forces Megan to only intake 50% of the usual dosage on a regular basis.
Despite her current prognosis being good, she still finds it difficult to do the things she loves, such as playing with her friends and her twin brother. Megan is unfortunately no longer able to attend school regularly either. Outside of school, she does not normally have the energy to participate in any extracurriculars, such as sports, dance or art.
Megan has been incredibly brave in the face of all that she has to endure. She doesn’t allow any of her challenges to affect her spirit. She is looking towards the future and getting back to her normal routine this September.
Due to COVID-19, the Charles Seller Foundation is forced to take a nontraditional route to support this strong little girl! Talent Time Players and the Foundation are so excited to work with Megan and her family this year!
