The Charles Seller Foundation is thrilled to announce that our 2019 Beneficiary is Sawyer Jane Barrow of Bloomfield, NJ!
Sawyer is a 9-month-old who was born with a Vein of Galen Aneurysmal Malformation, or VGAM. VGAM affects the large veins that returns blood from the brain to the heart. Sawyer’s VGAM was diagnosed in-utero via an ultrasound, and was deemed very serious. She was born at 35 weeks and spent the first month of her life in the NICU at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has since been treated at Boston Children’s Hospital, and is currently stable.
Sawyers parents, Keith Barrow and Natalie Rodriguez, are both Bloomfield natives. Keith graduated from Bloomfield High School in 2012, and the Barrow family has lived in Bloomfield for more than 70 years.
The Charles Seller Foundation is so excited to work with Sawyer and her family this year!
